Editor Biography

Dr. Ewa J. Kleczyk is an accomplished healthcare analytics executive and data science leader, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Operations at Target RWE, a leading real-world evidence (RWE) and healthcare research organization. She brings nearly two decades of experience in commercial analytics, healthcare data operations, and privacy compliance. At Target RWE, she leads the design and execution of advanced RWD strategies to support the drug development and commercialization process across the life sciences industry. 

Prior to joining Target RWE, Dr. Kleczyk served as Vice President of Advanced and Custom Analytics at Symphony Health, ICON plc, where she spearheaded enterprise-wide analytics innovation and strategic data initiatives. She has earned a reputation for building high-performing teams, developing patient-centric, data-driven solutions, and advancing the integration of real-world insights into healthcare decision-making.

Dr. Kleczyk is widely recognized as a thought leader in her field and is a frequent speaker at top-tier industry and academic conferences, including the Pharmaceutical Marketing Sciences Association (PMSA), Intellus, DTC Perspectives, HIMSS, CDM Media, and the Conference for Business and Economics at Harvard University. She also shares her expertise through women’s leadership summits and community-focused podcasts. Her scholarly work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and she actively contributes to editorial boards across healthcare and economics publications.

Her impact has been honored through numerous accolades, including the PMSA Lifetime Achievement Award (2024), Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) “Rising Star” and “Luminary” awards, Top 50 Women Leaders in Healthcare Technology, and Top 25 Women in Biotechnology. In 2023, she was named a Global Champion for Women in Healthcare Leadership by CIO Views Magazine and received the U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award at the GILA Awards in New York City.

Beyond her professional contributions, Dr. Kleczyk is deeply committed to mentorship, education, and community service. She actively supports the advancement of women in healthcare and technology through mentoring and advisory roles. She serves on the Community Cancer Council for Northern Light Health Network in Bangor, Maine, and the Sisterhood Extravaganza Advisory Board, Phoenix Arizona. She is also the co-founder of the Kleczyk-Strout Foundation, which supports initiatives in healthcare access and higher education and is a board member of Wheels for Hope non-profit organization in Bangor, Maine. As part of her academic engagement, she sits on the graduate faculty at the University of Maine’s School of Economics, where she established a scholarship for future leaders in economic development. She also served as Chair of the College Advisory Board for the College of Earth, Life, and Health Sciences, helping shape programs that foster regional economic growth.

Originally from Wrocław, Poland, Dr. Kleczyk holds a PhD in Economics from Virginia Tech and MS and BA degrees from the University of Maine. She is currently pursuing a Business Excellence Certificate at Columbia University, which will further strengthen her strategic and executive leadership capabilities.
